Evelyn was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on July 5, 1942, to the late Marco and Marie Treglia. She dedicated many years to education, retiring from her teaching career at E.B. Kennelly School in Hartford.
In retirement, Evelyn embraced life alongside David. She enjoyed antiquing, long walks, relaxing at the beach, and caring for animals. A devoted animal lover, she rescued cats and cherished her beloved dog, Duffy. Together, Evelyn and David lovingly restored and maintained their 1742 Colonial home in Bolton, a place that reflected their shared passion for history and antiques.
Evelyn was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Vincent Treglia and Mark Treglia; and her nephew, Mark “Butch” Treglia.
She is survived by her husband, David; her stepchildren, Tommy Osborne and Amy Colvin (Dan); her brother, Lou Treglia Sr.; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Service information will be announced once arrangements are finalized.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite animal rescue organization in Evelyn’s memory.
