Geraldine U. Foster, 80, of North Branford, beloved wife of Johnnie D. Johnson, died January 18, 2023 at her residence.
Mrs. Foster was born on May 25, 1942 in Wilkinsburg, PA the daughter of Adolph and Julia Bartolomucci. She attended Mary Lawrence Webster College in Washington, DC as well as Mary O’Russell Sage in Troy, NY.
She was Vice President at CBT Bank in Hartford and Boston as well as Senior Vice President at Continental Insurance in New York City. She started her pharmaceutical career with Schering-Plough then retiring from Merck Pharmaceutical as a Senior Vice President of Public and Investor Relations. Geraldine adopted and rescued senior cats. She took on over 30 cats during her life time and still has two.
Besides her husband Johnnie of 35 years, Gerry is survived by her step-daughter Judith M. Johnson and her husband Nigel J. Grainge of Morocco. Her brother Gerald R. Bartolomucci and her sister Eileen M. Bartolomucci both of PA.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday January 25th at Twin Valley Cemetery in Delmont PA at 10:30 AM. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 28th 11 AM in Grassy Hill Church, 371 Grassy Hill Rd. Lyme, CT. Later a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday January 29th from 2-5 PM in Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook, CT 06475.
