She was born in Port Chester, NY, the daughter of Alfred J., and Alice Adair Hermansen. Hardworking and fiercely loyal, Kirsten loved her birds, her garden, her beach house and most of all, her people. She loved more than she could ever be loved, gave more than she could have ever received, and cared more than any single person should. Kirsten saw the best in all of us, even if we didn’t.
Kirsten is survived by her sons David Hermansen of Westbrook; Tyler Kavanaugh, his wife Caitlin, her grandson James of Brooklyn, NY; her sister Karen Latour of Westbrook; and her Newfoundland, Tessie.
