Mildred Lorraine Painter

Mildred (Moe) Lorraine Painter, age 84 of Old Saybrook, passed away Sunday March 3, 2013 at Middlesex Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Painter. Moe was born in Middletown Ct on January 20, 1929 to the late Thomas and Dorothy (Cooper) Henderson.

She worked for Old Saybrook Convalescent Home (Apple Rehab) for over 30 years, as a Nursing Aid. She also worked as a Home Health aide in the shoreline area. Living on the shoreline she enjoyed feeding and watching birds. Moe loved her family and cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her five children, Luann Clark of Westbrook, Kathy Carterud of Winsor Locks, Steven and Thomas Painter of Old Saybrook, and Kristina Painter of Middletown. Moe is also survived by 22 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren plus one on the way and many nieces and nephews and predeceased by her two eldest sons Fred Painter and Ken Painter.

Please visit the Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd. Old Saybrook Thursday March 7, from 5pm to 7pm. Services will be Friday March 8, at 11am at Grace Episcopal Church, Main St. Old Saybrook.
