Phillip R. Christopher, 84, of Old Saybrook, husband of Betty Christopher, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2011 at Middlesex Hospital. Born on October 6, 1926, Phillip was the son of the late Hazel and Earl Christopher.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters Karen Germini of Lyme and Linda Christopher of Niantic; by his son Phillip Christopher of Essex; granddaughters Suda McNeill of NC, Chandra Davis of Niantic and Madison Germini of Lyme; and by 4 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sisters Margaret Townsend of Northampton, PA, Irma Boyles of Preston, MD, Rose Ann Wheaton of Seaford, DE and by his brother Donald Christopher of Preston, MD.
Phillip was an Army Veteran, having served in the Korean War.
