Born in Harford, CT to Donald and Patricia (Vandecar) Gore, Scott spent his formative years in Windsor, CT. He was a graduate of Windsor High School, later attending Hartford State Technical College for Mechanical Engineering.
Scott's professional path ranged from Quality Engineering support within the Nuclear Power Generating Industry (Westinghouse Electric) and Military Customer Support (Pratt & Whitney). In his later years, his career path was focused primarily in the Sales and Marketing for various Corporations and Companies.
Scott was a lifetime member of the Elks. It was at the Windsor Elks that Scott was introduced to his soon to be soul mate, best friend, and partner for life, Donna in November 2000. Scott and Donna married on April 17, 2004.
Scott was an avid Nascar and Patriots fan. He was an unforgettable individual, fun in many ways, a known prankster, always enjoying a party whether a host or a guest always counted on for surprise clean-ups. Shortly after Scott and Donna's marriage, and years of "weekend warrior" trips to the CT shoreline, they fulfilled their dream of settling on the CT shoreline in their forever home in Old Saybrook in May 2009. Friends and family have shared that Scott was content and happy on the CT shoreline, with his wife, their former cats (Al & Tipper), loving Australian Shepherd Skye and the enjoyment of countless boating, sandbar, and golf cart adventures he shared with his friends and family.
In addition to his wife, Donna, her children William C. Martin (Lisa), Brooke W. Quinlan (Shaun) and grandchildren WIlliam, Colin and Delaney, he is survived by his sister, Donna Rae Gore, Holly Andersen and her husband Kevin, niece Cara (Andersen) Galvez and her husband Andre and their daughter Alessia.
His wife, family will welcome friends and all who knew him for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 10, 2024 between 10 - 11 AM at Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Road, Old Saybrook, CT. There will be a tribute at 11 AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to A Place Called Hope (www.aplacecalledhoperaptors.com) or plant a memorial tree in tribute to Scott’s memory.
