Shirley May Sullivan Labriola

Shirley May Labriola, 93 of Old Saybrook, beloved wife of the late Vito Labriola passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2024 at Ocean Meadow in Clinton. She was born on August 15, 1930 in Milford, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Edward and Mary Ellingsworth Sullivan. Shirley was an operator at SNET for many years. She also worked for Sage Allen.

But, mostly, Shirley loved helping all of her children and was always there for her grandchildren. She made every holiday and birthday special: and was constantly running to all events and activities. Being the biggest fan of everyone. She was a devoted Wife, Mom and Grandmother.

Her pride and joy was enjoying her homes in Vermont and York Beach, Maine with Vito. Shirley was known for loving sweets and stopped at every bakery on route to wherever she was going to.

Shirley is survived by her five children: Sharon, Tommy, Peter, Paul and Cathy. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11 AM in St. John Church 161 Main Street, Old Saybrook, CT. A private burial to follow at Duck River Cemetery in Old Lyme.
