

Thomas G. Millspaugh, passed peacefully with family by his side April 28th, 2026 at the age of 86, born September 4, 1939, to Charles and Lillian Millspaugh. Predeceased by his brother Charles (Stub)(wife Suzanne). And leaves behind brothers James (wife Patty) & William (wife Peggy) both of Old Saybrook, CT.
Tom was an amazing athlete for Old Saybrook High School, playing Soccer, Basketball and Baseball. Being nominated as a Sports Star & Hoop Star by coach Ernie Linder. Marring the love of his life Maureen A. Ryder, August 22,1959, later becoming a proud father of daughters Debbie & Kim.
Tom joined the Essex Fire Department. in the early part of 1960. Later joining the Old Saybrook Fire Department in August of 1966, becoming the 1st Asst. Chief in 1971 and later Deputy Chief in 1976.
Tom was a member of the Shriners in Old Saybrook, as well as a member of the Westbrook Elks Lodge #1784.
Tom cherished time spent with family and friends, always with a sparkle in his eyes. Tom leaves behind his wife Maureen of 66 years, daughters Debbie Millspaugh and Kim Mehrtens (husband Bob) both of Westbrook. Four grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, Christopher (wife Jen), Tucker and Saylor, Thomas VanEpps (wife Heather), Delana, Katelyn VanEpps (Tyler White), Cole, Gavin & Bryce, Michael Mehrtens (wife Sara), Mackenzie & Stephen. As well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
