Velia C. Pucci

Velia “Val” Pucci, 86 a resident of Old Lyme, CT passed away on Tuesday December 4, 2012 at Middlesex Hospital from complications due to multiple myeloma. She was born on September 2, 1926, in New Britain, CT, the daughter of the late Ugo and Virginia Pucci. She was a retired employee of Aetna Life & Casualty. Val lived a full life spending the last 37 years at Hawks Nest Beach in Old Lyme, CT. Val enjoyed square dancing, swimming, and vacationing with friends. She loved to go shopping and to spend time with her grandniece Lilly. She was predeceased by her sister Lillian (Pucci) Glaski, brother Attilio Pucci and life partner Robert E. Watts. Val is survived by five nieces and nephews including David & Julie Glaski. Gail (Pucci) & Roger Dumoulin, Tom Pucci, Noreen Glaski & Bill Tackash, Lisa (Glaski) & Michael Civitillo. She is also survived by her grand nieces and nephews, Lilliana Grace Glaski, Katie Dumoulin, Nick Dumoulin, Alyson P. Pucci & Gregory M. Pucci. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. A private ceremony will be held on Thursday, December 13th at 11:00 am at Duck River Cemetery, Old Lyme, CT. Donations can be sent to a charity of the donors choice.
