HUDSON—George left his physical body shortly after 5AM Monday December 18, 2017 at his home, while holding his wife’s hand. The world was brightened by his smile and his beautiful soul. His spirit and energy will remain with all who loved him forever. The world was a better place with his presence. He was born June 25, 1942 in Trenton, NJ a son of George and Hanna (Fox) Kleiner.
He resided in Mystic Island, NJ for many years and was employed at Caesar’s Hotel and Casino, Atlantic City, as shift supervisor of construction and facilities. Upon retirement he and Teresa moved to ( remove Hudson) Maine on Valentine’s Day 2003. He loved being outside and found peace and solace in nature. He enjoyed hunting, working his property, working with his hands tinkering, wood working, and model trains. He enjoyed playing poker at the Old Town Elks Lodge or shooting a game of pool with friends. His smile and pleasing personality immediately comforted all in his presence. He loved his family and was always there to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years Teresa; two sons Joseph Kleiner and his wife Dena of FL, Robert Kleiner and his companion Christie of PA; daughter Tina McGrady and her companion Steve of PA; nine grandchildren Heather, Steven, Christian, Joey, Krissy, Josh, Robert, Katie, and JoJo; a brother Paul Kleiner of PA and close cousin Joe Paul and his wife Debbie of MD. He was predeceased by his parents.
A celebration of his life gathering will be held 6-8PM Wednesday December 20, 2017 at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town. George would rather see flowers grow than be cut and put on display, he asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Eastern Maine c/o EMHS Foundation PO Box 931 Bangor, ME 04402 www.emhsfoundation.org
