

Milford - James P. 'Jim' Marsh, 88, died peacefully December 9, 2016, at his residence surrounded by his "family." He was born May 24, 1928, in Old Town, a son of Bernard C. and Hazel M. (McKenzie) Marsh. He was a star track athlete at Old Town High School, graduating with the class of 1947. He attended the University of Maine. He was employed for many years as a Supervisor at the Old Town Pulp Mill through various name changes, retiring in 1986 from James River. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and ice fishing, hunting big game and rabbit hunting with his dogs. He enjoyed time at his camps on East Grand, Pushaw, and his hunting camp on the Kingsbury Road. Having never married, Jim is survived by a lifelong close family Debra Taylor and Timothy Yerxa of Milford, Jessica Taylor of Glenburn and her children Kamryn Kiss and Mason Audet; Christopher Taylor of Sarasota, FL; and Myriah Nelson of Milford. He was predeceased by his three brothers Ben Marsh, Robert Marsh, and Donald Marsh. A graveside service will be announced in the spring at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town.
