Joan Carolyn Johnston

She was born on July 7, 1930 the youngest child of the late Harry and Blanche (Smart) Twitchell. She was a proud homemaker and enjoyed her home on a quiet cove at Pushaw Lake, Old Town for many years. Joan waitressed at Thompson's Restaurant in Veazie, ME and a local restaurant in Milford, ME when she was younger.

She is survived by her three children Sherry F. Tuttle and her husband Creag of Leominster, MA and Greenbush, ME, Stephen M. Johnston and his wife Brenda of Greenbush, ME and Russell A. Johnston and his wife Margie of Windham, ME. She also leaves behind two special grandchildren Alan Tuttle and Elizabeth Johnston and a great grandson Ashton Valderrama Johnston as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Winnifred Twitchell, Walter Twitchell, Marguerite "Rita" Willis, Geraldine "Jean" Rollins, Mary Flatt and Edwin Twitchell.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 11 am at Greenbush Cemetery, Main Road (Route 2), Greenbush, ME.
