
OLD TOWN - Joseph Norman Madore, 82, died unexpectedly Sept. 27, 2010, at his residence. He was born May 19, 1928, in Old Town, a son of Leon and Odelie (St. Pierre) Madore. Joe was a veteran having served with the U.S. Army Infantry during Korea. He worked at Bangor Roofing for more than 20 years while raising his four children as a single parent. He enjoyed hunting, taking long walks, playing cards and harness racing. He is survived by four children, Cheryl Madore, Norman Madore and his wife, Jen, Michael Madore and his girlfriend, Lisa Bouchard, and George Madore and his wife, Roberta; three grandchildren, Anthony, Jessica and Savannah; five stepgrandchildren, Patty, Shaun, Seth, Nicholas and Cassidy; and a sister, Constance Bates. He was predeceased by four brothers, Everest, Paul, Raymond and Leonard; and three sisters, Delores Madden, Yvonne Bertran and Diane Lambert. The family thanks Lisa Bouchard for all her wonderful help. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of service.
