

OLD TOWN—Mae R. Wickett, 83, died peacefully at home November 12, 2010. She was born March 15, 1927 in Old town a daughter of Clifford and Edith (Drake) McLaughlin.
Mae was a kind and caring woman who enjoyed life’s simple treasures: family, family gatherings and reunions, and quiet times. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading.
She is survived by 11 children Doreen Sanborn and her husband Carleton, Richard Wickett and his companion Betty Violette, Rosella Dyer and her husband Danny, Terry Wickett and his wife Cristol, Gerry Wickett, Alan Wickett and his wife Irene, Michael Wickett and his companion Ginette Caron, Jeffrey Wickett, Donna Lilley and her husband Craig, Donald Wickett and his companion Nancy Bartlett; Lorna O’Clair and her husband Alan, son-in-law Wayne Robichaud and his wife Anne Marie; a brother Paul McLaughlin and his wife Shirley and a sister Helen Avery and her husband Robert; 22 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence in 1981, a daughter Starlene Robichaud in 2005, a grandson Shawn Sapiel, three brothers George, Fred “Buster”, and Walter and 2 sisters Pearl Wade and Phyllis Sharpe.
Friends may call 2-4 PM Sunday at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St. A funeral Service will be conducted 10 AM Monday at the New Life Apostolic Church, Bennoch Road, Old town.
