Mary Paul

OLD TOWN—Mary Paul, 91, died October 24, 2018 at her residence. She was born August 28, 1927 in Tuxedo, NY a daughter of Patrick and Emily (Terjesen) Walsh. Mary retired from the University of Maine as an administrative assistant at the Fogler Library in 1987, following over 20 years of service. She was a lifetime member and past president of the VFW Auxiliary Post #3381 and the Knights of Columbus #2537 Auxiliary of Old Town. An active member of Parish of the Resurrection, she belonged to the Holy Family Rosary makers group, volunteered at funeral luncheons and in the thrift shop, and served as a Eucharistic minister and lector. She was also an active member of the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by daughter Carolyn Martel and her husband André; sons Brother Timothy Paul, C.F.X; Allen Paul and his wife Janice; grandchildren Renée Waters and husband Mike, Chad Martel and wife Melissa, Sean Pavlish, Sarah Paul and husband William, David Paul and wife Jenny; great grandchildren Matthew, Jacob, Brendan, Katelyn, and Jordan Tripp, Connor and Genevieve Paul; great grandson Landon Tripp; brother-in-law Charles Nason, sister-in-law Kay Paul, Deacon Robert Walsh and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Eugene, granddaughter Tina (Martel) Pavlish; great grandson Benjamin Paul; sisters Margaret Homschek and Alice Gay, and brothers Robert, Andrew, and Edward Walsh.

Friends may call 4-7PM Sunday at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Monday at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, 429 Main St Old Town. Burial will be at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town.
