Roger was born on July 6, 1941, in Houlton, Maine. He served with the U.S. Army, spending time in Germany. After his military tour, Roger settled down with his wife Irene Cronk in Milford, Maine. He worked at the Penobscot Shoe Factory before transitioning to the James River paper mill through various owners until his retirement following 20 years of service in 2003.
As a father, Roger was always willing to share his knowledge with his sons of all the skills he had gathered through his lifetime. He enjoyed working on cars, machine work, carpentry, and RV camping. Roger was a genuine person with a tremendous sense of humor and an unforgettable infectious laugh that brought joy to others.
Roger is survived by his son, Daniel Cronk of Clearwater, FL; his son Jason and his wife Becky Cronk of Indialantic, FL; five grandchildren, Troy, Cody, Mackenzie, Teagan, and Logan; one great-grandson, Brayden. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Irene Cronk; his sister, Paulette Ugro and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Roger joins his parents, John S. Cronk and Francis W. Pickard, his sister Margaret Rivers, and two brothers, Carl and Carroll Cronk.
Our family is grateful that Dad is at peace and with his loved ones. A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.BirminghamFuneralHome.com for the Cronk family.
