

OLD TOWN - Theresa M. Day, 83, wife of the late Delmar Day, died peacefully July 20, 2012, at a Bangor health care facility, with family members present. She was born June 1, 1929, in Old Town, a daughter of Henry and Imelda (Lecuyer) Cyr. She enjoyed her Thursday morning coffee and doughnuts, doing crossword puzzles and watching soap operas. She also for many years enjoyed camping with her family and many friends. She is survived by two children, Jim Day and his wife, Sandy, of Old Town and Rick Day and his wife, Terri, of Greenbush; six grandchildren, Jennifer Gerow, Heather White, Elizabeth Day, Travis Day, Andrew Day and Aaron Day; five great-grandchildren, Ethan Day, Paige and Lily White, Keegan Day and Brayden Nason; four sisters, Julliette Richardson, Thelma Keezer and husband, Leslie, Joan Brown and Jeannette Soule; a brother, Victor Cyr and wife, Judy; two sisters-in-law, Doris Cyr and Joan Cyr; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Delmar; two sisters, Alphena Proudman and Rose Richardson; and five brothers, Albert Cyr, Alfred Cyr, Arthur "Dizzy" Cyr, Robert Cyr and Kenneth Cyr. The family thanks Westgate Manor and Amedisys for the wonderful and compassionate care given to Theresa. A graveside service will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday at Riverside Cemetery, Orono.
