

OLD TOWN- Tracy Johnstone, 62, died on March 9, 2022 of complications from lung cancer. She was born in Bangor, ME on January 8, 1960, the daughter of Horace “Jeff” Johnstone and Carlista Winter.
Tracy was a 1978 graduate of Old Town High School where she served as a cheerleader and was active in a variety of school activities. She was a lifelong resident of the greater Bangor area. She was generous, smart, witty, and straightforward with a no-nonsense attitude. Her strong sense of loyalty helped her to create several lifelong friendships. Although not a musician herself, music was always a part of her life, and she counted many local musicians and singers as close friends. She loved all animals and shared her home with several dogs, cats, and guinea pigs over the years. She had a strong work ethic that she applied to several retail and food service businesses in the region as well as a medical practice and the University of Maine library.
Tracy is survived by two children Cole Johnstone and Shelby Johnstone; mother Carlista Winter; sister Kimberly Johnston and her husband Tad; brother Roger Johnstone and his wife Cindy Seger. She was predeceased by her father, Jeff Johnstone.
A celebration of life gathering with light refreshments will be held 5-7PM March 16, 2022 at Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town where there will be an opportunity to share stories and memories.
The family asks that donations be made to your favorite animal rescue group in lieu of flowers.
