Alvis Arthur Fawcett (Al) of Germantown, TN, passed away on June 16, 2023. Al was born in Mesa, AZ on April 7, 1944. He was one of 4 children born to Rex and Vonda Fawcett. The family eventually settled in Henderson, NV where Al graduated Basic High School and later was drafted into the United States Army. He began his airline career as an agent with Air West in 1968, retiring from Northwest Airlines in 1998. Al was survived by his former wives Brenda Fawcett and Janice Fawcett, and girlfriend Diane Coffman. He was a beloved father to Aaron Fawcett (Kendra), Kristina Moseley (Ken), Jason Fawcett (Amy), and grandfather to eight (Giselle, Sydney, Tyson, Matthew, Celeste, Brandon, Logan, and Nolan).
One of his great joys after retirement was spending time at Deer Creek in Mississippi. He loved to find a great bargain and find collectables such as grandfather clocks. He also enjoyed listening to baseball games on the radio and watching golf.
A service will be held Friday, July 7, at 11:00 at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
