

Arven Holliman Taylor 86, of Memphis TN, passed away at her home on January 2, 2011with her family by her side. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and a dear friend to many. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, David Earl Taylor and her son Joseph Alexander Taylor. She is survived by her four sons, David Michael Taylor (Margie) of Somerville, TN, Phillip Earl Taylor (Ginko) of Cordova, TN, Timothy Arven Taylor (Patsy) of Arlington, TN, and Anthony Norris Taylor (Diana) of Long Beach, California; and her daughter, Judith Taylor Bline (Steve) of Holly Springs MS. She also leaves two brothers, Harold Holliman of Sardis, MS, and Stanley Holliman of Byhalia, MS; four sisters, Fay Brandon of Pearl MS, Jean Stubblefield of Coldwater, MS, Dianne Yarbrough of Curve TN, and Linda Apperson of Norman, OK; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, of whom she was most proud. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for over 78 years. She worked along with her husband in their own business for over thirty years until his death. She then started her own business, Bed Fittings by Arven, where she worked for 17 years. She loved life and enjoyed her work with a passion, along the way making many lifelong friends. She is adored and honored by her family to whom she provided unconditional love. The visitation will be held at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 6, 2011, and also beginning at 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 7, 2011, at the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints on Walnut Grove Road in Cordova TN, with funeral services beginning at 11 A.M. Interment will follow at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Forest Hill Irene Road in Memphis TN. The family wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Methodist Hospice Alliance of Memphis.
