

Olive Branch - Carolyn Keelen Copeland passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. She was born on November 14, 1935 in Jackson, TN and preceded in death by her parents, William Turner and Dorothy NeVille Keelen. She is survived by her husband, James Ellsworth Copeland of Olive Branch, MS, two sons, Keith Ellsworth Copeland of Olive Branch, MS, Michael Turner Copeland (Britt) of Phoenix, AZ, a twin brother, William Robert Keelen (Elaine) of Lexington, KY, a sister, Dorothy Gail Keadle (Pat) of Germantown, TN and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Carolyn enjoyed playing tennis for many years with all her “tennis Buddies” and will be sincerely missed. She enjoyed spending time with her husband in the outdoors hiking, fishing and traveling. She was a wonderful mother, wife and soul mate to her husband. Carolyn loved her church, CrossRoads United Methodist Church, and all her Christian friends that faithfully prayed for her recovery during the time she was undergoing treatment for her illness. Her family appreciates all of the nurses, caregivers, and others that provided the wonderful care, love and services that Carolyn received during the brief time at the North Delta Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Southaven. Services for Carolyn will be held at CrossRoads United Methodist Church, 9315 East Shelby Drive, Collierville, TN on Sunday, October 5, 2014 beginning with visitation from 12 p.m. 1 p.m. and the funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or CrossRoads United Methodist Church.
