Olive Branch - CAROLYN JoANN CANADAY WHITTEN, 78, passed away on September 28, 2013. She was born to James and Ruby Hanson on December 8, 1934 in Jonesboro, AR. JoAnn was united in marriage to Thomas Neil Canaday on December 24, 1954 and had three children, the late Victor Canaday (Sherrie); Cheryl Houck (Jimmy) and Roger Canaday (Wendy). After the death of Tommy, she was united in marriage to her surviving spouse, Virgil Whitten. JoAnn was affectionately known as “Mammaw” to her five grandchildren, Sandy Houck Wells (Alex); Rusty Houck; Leslie Canaday South (Mike); Lindsey Canaday; Maya Canaday and one great-grandchild, Sophia Grace Wells.
