Charles “Chuck” Edward Jones Jr., 76, of Southaven, MS, passed away peacefully at his home on January 10, 2015. He was born on October 1, 1938. Chuck graduated from Olive Branch High School and retired on May 31, 1996 from South Central Bell after 30 years as a Certified World Class Technician. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed car restoration.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Edward Jones Sr. and Freda Pryor Jones; son Charles Jones and brother Jessie Morris.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Betty H. Jones; his sons, Bobby (Teresa) Jones, Steve ( Mary Jo) Jones and Greg (Tammy) Bishop ; sisters Geneva (Dallas) Palmertree, Brenda (Gene) Yeager and Lena (Frank ) Trusty; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and 2 god-children.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12-2 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. the same day. Interment to follow at Lebanon Cemetery.
