Cora Jean Byrd

Cora Jean Byrd, 77, of Olive Branch, MS passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021. Mrs. Byrd was preceded in death by her son, Michael Byrd; parents, Edward and Hattie Mae Shackleford; and 6 siblings. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Joe Byrd; daughter, Suzanne Kerley; son, Patrick Reed(Elizabeth); daughter, Deborah Lucas(Timothy); grandchildren: Kimberly Castner, Sarah Leifi, Barbie Stone, Victoria Reed, Connor Zins, Danielle Zins, Samantha Mena, and Julia Lucas; and brother, Marion Shackleford. Mrs. Byrd retired from Memphis Net and Twine after 33 years. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible. There will be a graveside service for Mrs. Byrd at Cockrum United Methodist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Breast Cancer Society.
