Curt L. Smith, 53, went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2023 at Baptist DeSoto in Southaven, MS. He was born on February 6, 1970 to Judith Morehouse in Hammond, Indiana. Curt was a United States Army veteran who was a part of the 1st Armored Division and also served in the First Gulf War. He also worked for Lewis Thomason Law Firm in Memphis, TN for 16 years. Curt enjoyed spending time with his friends, sky diving, and painting. He also was an avid Disney fan. Curt is survived by his mother, Judith Morehouse (Gregory Woodard); an aunt, Betty Hilley (Doug); two cousins, Gregory Hansen, Melissa Hilley; and several faithful friends: Matt, Pat, Eva Niknahad and her children, Evan and Liv Niknahad. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, Ms. Burial at West Tennessee’s Veteran Cemetery will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 9:00 am.
