Dan E. Rowland

Dan E. Rowland lost a long battle with Cancer on April 21, 2012 at his home in Nesbit, MS. He was born on August 7, 1935 in Senatobia MS. He is survived by his three children Betty Rowland, Diane Collins (Wayne) & Ronnie Rowland (Gloria) four grandchildren Danielle & Whitney Collins and Cody & Casey Rowland and his great granddaughter Abby, all of Desoto County. Residing in Memphis he married Jean Roe on Dec 27, 1957 who passed July 23, 2009. Working together to accomplish his dream of owning his own business he founded Phillips 66 gas station in Oakhaven near the Airport. He later started Hilltop Body Shop on Jean Drive almost 50 years ago and enjoyed 3 generations working at the Body Shop. Among his many ventures other than Hilltop Body Shop in Memphis, TN for his son Ronnie Rowland were Wayne's Quick Stop, Treasures & More in Nesbit, MS for his daughter Diane Collins and The Crossing Bar & Grill in Olive Branch, MS for his daughter Betty Rowland. Dan devoted his life to his family and was a very loving and giving man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Memorial and Visitation is Saturday April 28, 2012 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm with the service following at 1:00 pm.
