Donald Gene Bridger

Donald Gene Bridger, 63, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2018. Born to the late Floyd and Inita Bridger, Donald was a graduate from State Tech. He was an avid guitar collector and loved to play as well. Donald enjoyed motorcycles, whether it be riding or working on them. He worked as an Elevator Engineer for Dover which was later acquired by ThyssenKrupp. Donald helped design the elevator for The Freedom Tower in New York City. He was preceded in death by his wife of 8 years, Carrie Bridger, and a sister, Peggy Mays. Survivors include two sons, Caney Russ (Kaitlin) and Troy Burk (Farrah); a niece, Christy Harkey (Robert); a nephew, Ken Mays (Anita) and a brother in law, Jewel Mays. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Evie Russ and Sophia Burk; great nephews and nieces, Corbin Arendale, Caden Arendale, Larkin Harkey, and Kathryn Mays. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654.
