

Drew C. Ward, 69, of Senatobia, MS, passed away February 16, 2011 at his home. Mr. Ward, a drywall contractor, was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and work in his garden. He was a hard worker who was well known for integrity, his sense of humor, and his ability to captivate the attention of all while telling a story. After his retirement, he spent his mornings at McDonalds drinking coffee and telling jokes and his afternoons under the tree in his yard entertaining any and all who would stop by. He spent his last days looking forward to meeting his Lord face to face and having a reunion in Heaven with his parents, Ed and Elma Ward; two brothers, Marvin Ward and Percy Ward; and two sisters, Mary Lois Darnell and Joyce Clifton. Mr. Ward had a large family who loved him. He is survived by his wife, Mary Josephine Ward; two daughters, Angela (DonWayne) Billingsley and Carla Tribble, both of Senatobia; one son, Joey (Kim) Ward, of Como; eight grandchildren, Donald Billinglsey, Jr., Brian (Brittany) Billingsley, Bridgett Young, Shelby Tribble, Wendi (Kevin) Ott, all of Senatobia, and Megan Ward, Kaitlyn Ward, and Gunner Ward of Como; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Benjamin Ward of Coldwater, Cletus Ward of Senatobia, and Calvin Ward of Middleton, TN; 4 sisters, Maxine Flynn of Byhalia, Nellie Barbour of Byhalia, Kathryn Umberger of Poagville, and Loretta Winders of Ingram Mills. Visitation will be held 5 - 8 p.m. Friday, February 18, at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 19, also at Brantley. Mr. Ward will be laid to rest at Senatobia Memorial Cemetery in Senatobia. He will be greatly missed forever.
