Genny Schrader

Genny Schrader, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 15, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born May 4, 1947 to the late Carl and Fern Porter in Aurora, IL. Genny’s greatest passions were genealogy and doing stained glass. She loved her pets especially her furbabies. Genny had a dog grooming shop, enjoyed cooking, and camping in the desert. Genny was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry and her parents, Carl and Fern Porter. She is survived by her daughter, Brandy Shirley; a son, Ty Schrader, and two sisters, her twin sister, Linda Plab (Dennis) and Karen Mitowski. Genny also leaves behind three grandchildren, Amber Brewer (Jason), Garrett Schrader, Taylor Schrader (Nathan Krossman) and four great grandchildren. Her nieces, Lisa Fournie (Scott) and Laura Jung (Jon). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654.
