Grady B. Nichols, 85, of Barton, MS, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, January 13, and funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 14, all at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Grady proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Nichols; his daughter, Theresa Nichols; and his son, Frankie Nichols. He is survived by two daughters, Sue Conn (Lloyd) and Tracey Turman (Ken); two sons, Ben Nichols and Mark Nichols; three sisters, Elizabeth Coopwood, Lucille Dygert, and Mildred Deshler; one brother, Bobby Nichols; four grandchildren, Bramlett Dyles, Hope Castleman, Ashley Nichols, and Shea Anton; and 2 great grandchildren, Nadie Dyles and Gabby Castleman. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
