Herbert Horowitz

Olive Branch - Herbert “Herby” Horowitz, 84, of Olive Branch, Mississippi died on January 30, 2013 at Dove Health and Rehabilitation Center in Collierville, Tennessee. Originally from Spring Valley, New York, and having a second home in Delray Beach, Florida; Mr. Horowitz was an avid square dancer, docent for the Memphis Zoo and usher at the Memphis Orpheum Theater; and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. The family will receive guests on Sunday, February 3, 2013 beginning at 1 p.m. until funeral services begin at 2 p.m. all at Brantley Funeral Home located at 6875 Cockrum Street, Olive Branch, MS, all led by staff celebrant Jonathan Matthews. He will be buried in Blocker Cemetery in Olive Branch following the funeral. Mr. Horowitz is survived by his wife of 60 years Natalie S. Horowitz; his sons Dr. Craig (Marcy) Horowitz of Weston, Florida and Dr. Brian (Whitney) Horowitz of Olive Branch, Mississippi; and his four grandchildren Harrison, Dana, Evan and Madison Horowitz.
