Herman Ray Jones

Herman Ray Jones, 84, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on January 17, 2026. Ray was born on September 13, 1941, in Gadsden County, FL to the late Herman E. Jones and Edna Fuller Jones. He loved life and tried to live it to the fullest. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He also loved our country and was a very patriotic man. Ray was a believer in Jesus Christ and a faithful member of Faith Apostolic Church. He loved his church and his church family. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Boy Jones; grandson, Vincent Carpenter, Jr.; and brother, Tom Jones. He is survived by his son, David Jones (Cheryl); daughter, Bonnie Jones; grandchildren: Stephanie Russell (Joe), Joe Jones, John Jones (Felicia Gramling), Crystal Tuttle, Nycole Johnson, and Jeremy Johnson; great-grandchildren: Abbigayle, Jaxson, Sabrina, Autumn, Nico, Adam, and Skye; brother, James E. Jones (Faye); and sister, Frances Schocke (Herbert). The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Brantley Funeral Home on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 1-2 pm with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Autumn Woods Memorial Park.
