Howard Lamar Young, 68, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was a faithful member for 37 years at Bethel United Apostolic Church. Mr. Young served as a Trustee, Secretary and Treasurer, and Bass Player. He is preceded in death by his parents, Catherine and James Lamar Young and his brother, James Young. Survivors include his wife, Diane Young; a son, Joey Young (Rebecca);two grandchildren, Andrew and Hannah; a sister, Cathy Helms (Mickey); three brothers, William “Tiny” Young (Sarah), Raymond Young (Betty Jean) and Lowrey Young (Hilda). Family will receive guests Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Bethel United Apostolic Church, 10972 Bethel Rd. Olive Branch, MS 38654. A Homegoing service will be held Monday, June 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Bethel United Apostolic Church. Active Pall Bearers are Mike Helms, David Hill, Josh Grissom, Andrew Young, Levi Cook, and Zack Gray. Honorary Pall Bearers are Thomas Lewis and James Worthington. Interment will be at Blocker Cemetery.
