James Boyce Carpenter, 81, of Coldwater, MS, passed away December 9, 2013, at his home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 11, beginning at 12:00 noon, until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Interment will follow in Emory Cemetery in the Watson Community. James was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and he retired after 31 years with John Deere Company. He was a dedicated family man and in his spare time enjoyed driving his tractor and cotton picker. James is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Carpenter; and his son, Terry Carpenter.
