Southaven - James Lawrence McDonald, Sr., 78, passed away June 12, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital. Jim was born in Memphis, TN on September 5, 1931. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia McDonald, his two sons and their wives, Jim and Elaine McDonald of Tempe, Arizona and Glen and Susie McDonald of Collierville, Tennessee, his daughter and her husband, Christi and Mark McCafferty of Southaven, Mississippi, nine grandchildren and one great- grandchild. Jim served his country for four years in the Air Force, and he was retired from Sacred Heart League where he worked for over 30 years. The Memorial Mass will be said on Thursday, June 17 at 11:00 a.m., at Queen of Peace Catholic Church at 8455 Germantown Road in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 18, at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Forest Hill Irene Road. The family requests that donations be made in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , the National Parkinson Foundation, Sacred Heart Southern Missions or a charity of the donor's choice.
