Jerry Lamar Smith

Jerry Lamar Smith, 69, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 surrounded by his family at Methodist Olive Branch. He was born on February 18, 1953 to Virginia and Russell Smith in Chattanooga, TN. Jerry owned and operated Jerry Smith Heating and Air for 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed bass fishing and being at Pickwick Lake. Jerry was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His family, friends, and fishing buddies: JBird, Bud, Mike, Tripp and Jimmy will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Shelley; mother, Virginia Smith, and his brothers, Johnny Smith and Ricky Smith. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Carmen Smith; three children, Jason Smith (Michelle), Marcus Sexton (Deanne), Julie Kinkade (Joey), and his niece and nephew, Nicole and Rusty Smith. He also leaves behind five grandchildren: Joshua Kinkade, Jackson Kinkade, Sarah Smith, Aiden Smith, and Garrett Smith. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 7:00 pm with visitation beginning at 5:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654.
