Jessie Mae Miller, 70, of Independence, MS, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Independence, and the visitation will begin at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in the Greenleaf Cemetery. Born in Independence on October 25, 1944, Jessie was a devout Christian. She leaves her sister, Jamie Miller Thompson and her brother-in-law, Howard Thompson of Independence. Miss Miller was preceded in death by her parents, J.P. and Jessie Miller. The family requests that any memorials be made to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, the love of her life.
