John Fred Stewart, Jr., 70, of Olive Branch, MS passed from this life Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Methodist Desoto Hospital in Olive Branch. He was born November 2, 1944 in Amory, MS to the late John Fred Stewart, Sr. and Adelle Smith Stewart. John was retired from BNSF Railway as a Conductor. He loved sports, played football in High School and in College at Ittawamba, loved golf and Ole Miss football. In faith he was raised in the church of Christ. He is survived by his wife; “Nan” Malai R. Stewart, a daughter; Amy McLennan, sons; Jason and Greg Stewart, a sister; Mary Terrell, grandchildren; Elizabeth, Erika, Angel, Johnny and Tyler. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Murray Lantrip and a brother, Buddy Mac Stewart. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday, July 9, 2015 all at Brantley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 11:30am Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis.
