Karen Ann Burton Dover

Karen graduated from Kingsbury High School and University of Memphis.

She is survived by her daughters Carla Hinote (Randall), Wendy Mitchell, Deanna Dover, Her sisters Melonie Pounds (Charlie), Gaye Hazel (Lou) and sister-in-law, Melody Burton, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Buddy Dover, her mother Anne Burton, her father James Burton and her brother Jim Burton.

Karen was a dance instructor for over 47 years with Performing Arts. She was also a choreographer for Libertyland, Heartbeat Productions and Desoto Performing Arts. She also had her own dress and costume design company. Karen loved teaching dance, loved her husband more than life itself, her daughters and grandchildren, her family and friends, Alabama football, gardening, painting, and her church family.

Services will be held Friday, August 12, 2016 at Highland Church of Christ, 400 N. Houston Levy.

Visitation at 10 am till 11:30, service at 11:30, lunch to follow. Private burial service.
