Lillian Orelia Voyles

Lillian Orelia Voyles, age 76, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 4, 1949, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Clifton and Estelle Falkner.

Lillian was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who found her greatest joy in caring for her family. Her husband, Melvin, was her best friend, and the two were inseparable. Lillian’s favorite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She had a deep love for the Lord and enjoyed participating in Bible studies. Lillian was also known for her creativity and love of crafting. One of her most cherished passions was her “Jesus Tree,” for which she faithfully gave tours, sharing her faith with others.

Lillian was a devoted and faithful member of Longview Point Baptist Church, where she lived out her faith through service, kindness, and fellowship.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Estelle Falkner, and her son, Walter “Wally” Stewart Voyles.

Lillian leaves behind her husband, James “Melvin” Voyles; her daughter, Jamie Renner (Robert), and her sister, Connie Spurlock. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Christian Arnold, Stewart Arnold, and four great-grandchildren: Michael Arnold, Daniel Arnold, Lydia Arnold, Grey Arnold, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 12:00 pm with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at Longview Point Baptist Church, 1100 McIngvale Rd. Hernando, MS 38632. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
