To know her was to know gentleness, humility, and a quiet strength rooted in lifelong faith. She spent her life caring for others before herself, serving as a steadfast disciple of Christ in every season. Her bold support of family and friends, offered without hesitation or expectation, made her a treasure to all who knew her.
A graduate of Saltillo High School and Mississippi State University, she took great joy in cheering on the Bulldogs and her favorite Memphis teams. She shared a devoted marriage with her husband, Rick, spanning 43 years of unwavering commitment and partnership. Foremost she was a loving mother to her two daughters and a proud grandmother whose heart was fullest when surrounded by her five grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ivo Barnard and Gladys Hill Barnard; and her brothers Bryson Barnard and Donnie Barnard.
She is survived by her loving husband Richard Bruns Meeker, daughters Brittany Wolcott (Hunter) and Carrie Ann Farmer (Beau) and five cherished grandchildren: Mackie Wolcott, Murphy Wolcott, Hazel Farmer, Duke Farmer, and Johnny Farmer. She is also survived by her siblings: Carolyn Thompson (Bobby), Zelda Ridings (Mike), Wally Barnard (Sandra) and Pam Lyons (Lewis); as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026 at LaBelle Haven Baptist Church in Olive Branch, MS. Visitation begins at 1:00pm, followed by the service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Baptist Reynolds Hospice House or LaBelle Haven Baptist Church.
