Marguerite “Mardi” Britt, 93, of Olive Branch, MS, loving “Mom” and friend to many, passed away February 5, 2015. She was born April 20, 1921. Mardi served her country in the United States Army during WWII. Following the war Mardi met and married her beloved husband, Charles T. Britt, at the University of Alabama. The couple moved to Olive Branch in 1956. In 1961 Mardi and Charlie joined five other Olive Branch families as founding members of Holy Cross Episcopal Church.
Mardi was preceded in death by her parents William and Permelia Pascoe and her husband Charles T. Britt.
“Mom” will be deeply missed by her children; Janice Britt Lewis, Susan Britt (Michael) Arrison, Craig Pascoe (Lisa) Britt and Jerri Britt Province as well as 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2015 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Holy Cross Episcopal Church with burial to follow at Blocker cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mardi’s name to the Holy Cross Episcopal Church.
