Mark Charles Hackett, 42, of Olive Branch, Senior Account Manager for UTi Worldwide, passed away December 14, 2010. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, and funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, at Getwell Road United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Autumn Woods Cemetery. Mr. Hackett served in the U.S. Marine Corps, was a former volunteer Deputy with the DeSoto County Sheriff, a member of Getwell Road United Methodist Church, an active golfer, and loved to play poker. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Hackett, and is survived by two sons, Andrew Hackett and A. J. Hackett, both of Olive Branch; his mother, Mary Judith Hackett of Neligh, NE; his sister, Amy Hackett of Denver, CO; and his fiancee, Angie Blackwell, of Olive Branch. Memorial contributions may be made to Getwell Road United Methodist Church.
