Joanne Scott McGee, 50, of Cockrum, Mississippi died on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Baptist Hospital in Southaven, Mississippi. To those who knew her she was a loving mother and grandmother, also known as “Nanny”. The family will receive guests and friends on Tuesday, October 29 from 5PM – 8PM and funeral services will be on Wednesday, October 30 beginning at 2PM all at the Olive Branch Church of Christ, 9100 East Sandidge Road, Olive Branch, MS 38654. Mr. Mike Hixson will lead the service and burial will follow in Cockrum Cemetery. Ms. McGee is survived by her daughter Michelle Swiatkowski (Will) of Marion, AR; son Trey Nelson (Joni) of Olive Branch; parents Billy Sr. & Mildred Scott of Cockrum; sister Allison Meredith (Marty) of Cockrum; brother Bill Scott (Linda) of Hernando; and grandchildren Kolby & Karsyn Nelson and Makenzie Swiatkowski.
