Maxine Ward Flinn

Maxine Ward Flinn, 94, of Byhalia, MS went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2026. Mrs. Flinn was born on March 15, 1932, to the late Ed and Elma Ward. She spent her life dedicated to her family and making sure her house was a home for them. She loved her family dearly and was a wonderful mother. She had selfless spirit and a servant’s heart and would help anyone in need. She had a love for animals and rescued many dogs over the years. In her younger years she enjoyed working in her yard and garden. Mrs. Flinn was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of the Baptist faith. She was dedicated to reading her Bible daily. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Flinn; granddaughter, Michele Foster; and 9 siblings: Marvin Ward, Benjamin Ward, Mary Lois Darnell, Joyce Clifton, Nellie Barber, Drew Ward, Calvin Ward, Percy Ward, and Cletus Ward. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha May (Chip); daughter, Toni Pierce; son, Milton Flinn (Mary); grandson, Brandon Simpson (Laura); great-grandchildren: Layke Foster, Layne Kiddy, Cash Simpson, Collin Hamlin and Tyler Rhodes; great-great-grandchildren, Jentri Foster, Silas Hamlin, and Kyle Rooker; 2 sisters, Loretta Winders (Wilson) and Katherine Umberger; and many nieces and nephews. The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
