Megan, We go back for almost 20 years, I had the honor of being there for your first born Will and Grace and to become G Momma to your kids.  I hold on to so many great memories. love you like a "sista" and you will be missed by so many that love you!  You met your soul mate Stephen and lived life to the fullest.  I know you two went out the way you would have wanted,  doing what you loved. Sister until we meet again I love you!

My heart is bleeding for you and I wish I could take on some of your pain. I will continue to pray for you, wishing you strength and endurance. I'm absolutely convinced that God has great plans for you in this life. By His power you will get through this and today's experiences will produce in you 'super powers' down the road if used well. Please know that Jesus loves YOU, so search for Him, talk with Him, cry with Him and He will walk with you, never leaving you. Not a single tear He will let go to waste! Have confidence that He has great plans for you and that you are never alone.

Megan, you were my best friend for 27 years. I can’t even fathom what life will be like, in the days to come, without you. As you would say, we were each other’s “constant”. No matter the time of day, we were there for one another at the drop of a dime. You were the closest thing I ever had to a sister, and my moms “second daughter”. I’m not sure how to do life without you, but I know you will always watch over me and my boys. Until we are together again, rest easy, my beautiful angel. I will love you forever.

Stephen was my ex husband and the father of my girls, Alexis and Shelby. We didn't see eye to eye but I will always appreciate what he done for the girls. I know it was a hard decision to make. I made a promise along time to him and I will honor that by bring the girls that are now adults to see him one last time. I met Megan one time and she was a sweet lady and I could tell she cared for her kids. Hate that life was dealt to stephen and Megan this way. 

Megan reached out to me more than 2 years ago asking for help because Cadin had lost his twin sister Jalen. I had the opportunity to meet both Megan and Cadin at a Twinless Twin conference in 2019. Megan would always reach out to me about how best to support Cadin on his twin journey without Jalen by his side.  Megan loved Cadin and would go the extra mile in search of how best to help him with his pain. My heart is forever broken that Cadin has lost his dad and Megan and the support they provided him with. I can only hope and pray those closest to Cadin will hold his hand and carry him for as long as he travels this land.

Stephen was my father. He wasn't always there but at the end of the day he was always going to be apart of me. We never seen eye to eye. But he did right by us.  We had spoken a couple weeks ago about which gender was easier to raise. He said girls but I said boys.  I guess he was just as hard headed as I was

Prayers for everyone who is touched by this. They both leave behind so many people who loved and cherished them.  My heart breaks for my sister Mary Blackwell Burgess....I can't imagine the pain of losing a child. I love you. 

My sweet nephew Stephen and his beautiful wife Meagan have gained their wings and are in the arms of his precious daughter. You touched so many lives with light and laughter and you are missed by those whoes lives you touched.

Stephen was my brother, my one and only brother! My heart will ache for him forever! He was always there for me through some of the hardest times in my life! I lived with him and Megan for a while, amd I have so many great memories to carry with me forever! I would do anything to get one more of his big hugs 🥺.  I love you brother, today, tomorrow and forever! 

I loved you first,  stephen and megan you will forever be in my heart,  I always enjoyed spending time with y'all and your family I feel privileged to have known you both.

Stephen was also survived by his biological mother, Mary Blackwell Burgess.

Aunt Megan and Uncle Stephen were the best. They could always make u smile or laugh. They helped me with anything and everything I even wanted or needed. You couldn’t go to their house without making the best memories and having the best laughs. They were by far my favorite aunt and uncle. They always provided for me and so much more. The countless weeks i would stay over at there house. We’re the best times I will forever love and miss y’all.

Stephen was my sister’s son. Although I haven’t seen him since he was a child, my heart is broken for him and Megan and those they left behind. Stephen’s son Caden, his mother Mary and his and Megan’s many family members and friends who’s hearts are broken as well.

Megan I can't believe your gone. You are one of my oldest and dearest friends. We have been through everything together.
