Misty Firestone Haines

Misty Firestone Haines passed away on Tuesday February 15, 2022 at Methodist Olive Branch Hospital in Olive Branch, MS. She was born on July 28, 1980 in Rome, GA to Carlton Firestone and Patricia Nelson. Misty was employed by University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN within The College of Nursing.

Misty was a devoted wife, a follower of Christ and had a big love for her family and friends. She had a passion for animals and cared for her two Boston terriers as they were her own children.

Misty had a passion for helping others. She spent many years working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital where she was known for being a Comforter and a shining light to families that were facing very difficult times.

Misty’s bubbly personality and caring heart are what drew people to her. This included her husband Kris who she shared 21 years with in one of the best fairy tale marriages that could ever be written. She will be remembered best for her beautiful signing voice, fashionable hair bows and Love for the TV show The walking Dead.

Misty was survived by her husband of 21 years, Kris Haines; her mother, Patricia Nelson; her father, Carlton Firestone; three siblings, Jared Firestone, Gregg Hiett, and Ally Firestone. She also leaves behind her four nephews: Jared “Little” Firestone, Malachi Firestone, Daymyus Covington, Anthony Melendez Firestone, and two fur-babies, Bella and Bailey.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm at Longview Heights, 4501 Goodman Rd. Olive Branch, MS 38654.
