Movalene P. Griffin

Movalene P. Griffin, 92, of Byhalia, MS went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 29, 2021. Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her husband, Elon Griffin; son, Randy Lee Grifin; granddaughter, Sheila Marie Spencer; parents, Emmitt and Robenia Patterson; sister, Monette Griffin; and brothers, Elane Patterson and W.R. Patterson. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Spencer(John); grandchildren: John Spencer, Jr., Heather Hickman(Todd), and Amy Presley(James); 10 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Delane Patterson. Mrs. Griffin was a member of First Baptist Church of Olive Branch. She retired from Griffin Incorporated where she was bookkeeper. In her spare time, she loved gardening and was a member of the Byhalia Garden Club and the Memphis Iris Society. The family will receive friends at Brantley Funeral Home for a time of visitation Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 9-10 am with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Poplar Springs Cemetery in Poplar Springs, MS.
