Octavia M. McElroy, 84, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016 in Southaven, MS. Born April 4, 1932, she played high school basketball and loved the game of basketball. Mrs. McElroy was a member of the Olive Branch Church of Christ and was a former member of the Wooddale Church of Christ. She was retired after 33 years of service with Kellogg’s. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Mrs. McElroy is survived by her husband of 66 years, Daffin McElroy, her daughter, Rita Wilson, of Olive Branch, MS, her son, Ron McElroy (Ruth), of Memphis, TN, and her sister, Oleta Phillips. The family will receive friends Monday, June 27, 2016 from 11:30am until the funeral service begins at 1pm, all at the Olive Branch Church of Christ, 9100 E. Sandidge Rd. Olive Branch, MS 38654.
