Rachel Milam Whitehead, 75, of Olive Branch, formerly of Greenville, MS, passed away October 1, 2010. She leaves her husband of 54 years, William E. Whitehead; her son, Mark Whitehead (Angela) of Carrollton, TX; her daughter, Laura Whitehead Moore (Ford) of Olive Branch; and five grandchildren, Rachel Moore, Allison Whitehead, Grant Whitehead, Connie Moore Olson, and Ford Moore, Jr. Born in Trenton, TN on April 23, 1935 to the late Edgar and Sue Milam, Mrs. Whitehead graduated from Peabody High School in Trenton. She obtained her RN from Methodist School of Nursing in Memphis, and retired as Director of Nursing from Delta Medical Center in Greenville, MS. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, October 3, and funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 4, all at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Interment will follow in Blocker Cemetery.
